Getting there by rail

Edinburgh has two railway stations, Waverley and Haymarket.

Great North Eastern Railway (GNER) provides London (King’s Cross) and Edinburgh (Waverley) with the fastest intercity railway in Britain, taking approximately 4 hours. There is also an overnight Caledonian Sleeper service operated by Scotrail which runs six nights a week from London (Euston) to Edinburgh (Waverley).
